Like everyone one else the news about the death of Heath Ledger has shocked and saddened me greatly and I dread to think of what his friends and family will go through over the next few days as the media feeding frenzy takes hold. You would like to hope that the members of the press will respect their privacy and allow them to mourn their loved one in peace. Unfortunately our culture of celebrity will not permit this and I am certain the lurid speculation about what may or may not have happened has already begun.
But more than anything events like these serve as a potent reminder of just how fragile life really is, and that one should never, ever waste time on regrets because you just don't know when it will end.
