an attempt at christmas cheer
The small children and I attempted to make a gingerbread house using one of those ready-made kits on the weekend. as you can see the results were mixed:
Unfortunately because of the warm weather the icing refused to set and melted after a while. Bits of it kept sliding off until we finally gave up and ate it for dessert. It didn't taste very nice. But it looked festive for a short while and it distracted the kids for long enough so my sister could make the Christmas pudding in peace.
