Heh, I'm doing a sneaky update from class. Nothing's happening yet, anyway, and I've already done the homework, so I've got a little time to kill.

Apart from the vague need for a daily update, nothing much is happening. My love of MLAAD continues and work is very busy. I've had to start early every day this week, and I fear my flex time is about to explode with little or no means of claiming back some of the time I'm owed. Oh, and I've discovered that the sushi from the new sushi bar at school is fairly ordinary. Next time I think I'll just stick to the chocolate muffins.

Good sushi is heaven. Made-up sushi from takeaway places - it suddenly got very big in London a couple of years ago, Marks & Spencer started doing it, and places like Pret a Manger - tends to be all dry and chewy and not really all that at all.

Busy is good, but there's a line between that and overworked and sometimes it's hard to see it until you realise that line's at neck level and has just garroted you.

Do you think there should be two Ts in 'garrotted'? It looks wrong either way. Not a word in my everyday vocabulary. This may change.

I would respond intelligently - that'd be a first - but I'm gazing at your icon and and going 'Mmm. CAKE!'

I've just made butter cake which I will anoint with lemon icing as soon as it's cooled down. I was going to make banananan cake, but my nanas went weird.

I bought it late in the day, so it had probably been sitting there for a while, but even so it was almost the most ordinary I have ever eaten. (The honour of being the worst I have ever eaten goes to some I bought from a shop in Burgundy St, Heidelberg (the suburb, not the city!) the summer before last.)
