They Say What They Say

So, my new boss started this week. She's nice. I'm still getting to know her so I can't really form much of an opinion as this stage, but we haven't come to blows or anything so that's gotta be good, right? I have the feeling that she doesn't quite know how I fit into the grand scheme of things with our department, but since I'm not quite sure either that makes two of us!

I'm still feeling a bit poorly, though, so work has been rather a trial this week. I nearly rang in sick this morning, but my overly developed sense of catholic guilt got the better of me and I made the effort. I'm glad I did because I got to meet the new head of marketing and dazzled him with some of the pretty things we have in the collections. I love it when I get to show-off all the nice things we have and hopefully he'll be able to come up with some good ideas about getting the word out. We desperately need a major PR boost and this might just be the beginning of something good.

Now my nose is so blocked I can hardly breathe, but it's too late in the day to take an antihistamine because it'll just keep me awake all night. I'll just have to struggle through with a double dose of garlic and horseradish.
