Just got off the phone with the computer doctor and my new baby is okay. Now I just have to get my virus protection sorted out. I've never had a problem with my old PC, but the new one seems to attract them like a magnet. I've got Norton, but I'm thinking of swapping to McAfee. Norton doesn't really do it for me. Anyone got any opinions?

While I was on the phone the computer doctor guy was trying to get me to upgrade it's memory, but I'm basically out of money. I'm going to have to be extra thrifty for the next six months to recoup all of this. I've even resorted to sending my credit card to my mum so I'm not tempted to splurge on eBay. Apart from the regular payments that are charged to it, the only thing I'll be doing is paying it off. No more shoes or hard-to-find DVDs for me for a while :~(

Must go get dressed. I'm being picked up at 1.30 to go to the airport to see O off. I'm picturing many tears from both A and myself. It's going to be so weird not to have him around. I mean he and A have only been together for about 18 months, but it's amazing how quickly he became part of the furniture. And I'm in complete denial about the fact that A is leaving in September. He's not going. I refuse to acknowledge it.
