I don't think I've got a new job, but that's okay. It was flattering to be asked to come to in for an interview, and the whole thing was good experience for the next time.

I do need to buy a suit though. Something natty in a pinstripe, I think. And new shoes. Not that I need any excuse to buy new shoes. You just have to look at my eBay bidding list to know that. But I do want to project a more professional image and a suit, some fabulous shoes and a smart handbag are must-haves for these situations.

I got most of my Christmas shopping and some birthday shopping out of the way in one fell swoop at the campus bookshop today.

For my brother-in-law, I bought Watson's Dictionary of Weasel Words. My mum is getting The Million Word Crossword Dictionary and my sister is getting The Royal Horticultural Society Diary 2005 for her birthday.

Now all I have to do is get a gift card from Myer's for my brother, find something for my sister for Christmas and finish paying for my nephew's big tub of giant Leggo and pick it up.

How organised am I? It's really quiet scary.
