Only it's not spring, but it is the start of a new year and to mark the occasion I rearranged my bedroom and made a pile of books, clothes, shoes and other stuff to take to the charity bin tomorrow. A is coming over with his car so we can cart it all away before we go to gym.

I'm feeling quite rejuvenated after all that activity. And my bedroom is the cleanest it's been in a long while. I dusted and vacuumed all the nooks and crannies I normally don't get to as I moved stuff around, and got rid of a lot of junk I was storing under my bed simply because I couldn't decide what else to do with it.

The only problem is, now my walls seem a bit bare. I haven't hung many pictures because there aren't that many hooks, and according to my lease I'm not supposed to put nails in the walls. But I'm thinking my landlord probably won't remember how many hooks there are anyway, so I might go shopping for some prints on Monday to brighten the place up a little.

For you Oz fans on my flist, [livejournal.com profile] askance recced two great Beecher/Keller stories that she recently found on [livejournal.com profile] crack_van. Written by [livejournal.com profile] geneticallydead, Poison and it's sequel Grace of God are both AUs set after the end of season six and are riveting portraits of a man who feels that he has reached the end of his options and is making the best of what he has been given. Great stuff if you don't mind a little bleakness in your reading.
