So, I finished watching Battlestar Galactica last night and I have to say, as much as I was a huge fan of the original, this new version ain't half bad. I like that they've created a grittier universe where alliances can shift and change, people are sacrificed for the greater good and people get it on at the drop of a hat. And even a female Starbuck doesn't squick me out as much as I thought it would. They've chosen a gutsy actress who can mix it with the boys, but who also has her moments of feminine vulnerability.
The only sour note was the fate of CKR's character, Even though I knew going in that he would come to a stickey end. But it was good to see him while he was there, and I look forward to his episode a little way down the track, although I believe that that's no picnic either. I just the series as a whole hope it rates well enough that channel ten persists in screening it in a regular time slot and doesn't just shove it into a cupboard, rarely to be seen again, like they do with everything else that doesn't perform as expected.
But to make up for beaten, bloody CKR in Battlestar, Masterminds is on TV this afternoon, featuring cute, disheveled CKR sporting a British accent. Noice.
Because I finished watching Battlestar quite early last night, I ended up watching Four Weddings and a Funeral on TV. I've seen it numerous times before, but for some reason I really enjoyed it last night. Maybe I'm feeling particularly sentimental at the moment, and the funeral never fails to raise a tear.

Michael. You're most like the ArchAngel of
Defense. You like to hit things, and you like
naked people, preferably cute naked people. A
real down-to-earth angel who likes frogs and is
easily distracted by bright, shiny things.
Which ArchAngel are you most like?
