While ago I promised to give [livejournal.com profile] engenda my recipe for vegetable frittata. It's actually a recipe for leek, spinach and mushroom frittata, but I usually substitute the leek, mushroom and spinach for red oinion and a couple of cups of mixed vegies like broccoli, cauliflower, pumpkin, etc. Whatever I have in the fridge at the time. I just chop them into bite-sized pieces and steam until tender, then add them to the egg mix with the sautéd mushroom and onion. The beauty about this frittata, though, is that it's baked, not fried, so it's relatively low in fat, and it makes a great packed lunch for work.

I had a very frustrating morning shopping for new jeans. There's nothing around that fits properly or that looks good when it does. About four years ago I found these great jeans that weren't the most expensive in the shop, but the fit was great so I bought three pairs. But as jeans do after a while, they're starting to show their age and aren't much good for anything except dagging around on weekends now. And of course they aren't being made any more. The lable has these new 'funky' styles, but as I've found out, funky and a classic hourglass figure don't really go together.

Gah, all I want is a pair of plain, boot-leg jeans with a mid-rise waist in a dark wash denim. Is that too much ask for?
