And today's procrastination post to brought to you by White Chocolate Mud Cake.

200g white chocolate, chopped
250g butter
200ml hot water
1½ cups castor sugar
1¾ cups plain flour
1 cup self raising flour
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla

Pre-heat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line the base of a 22cm round cake pan.

Combine white chocolate, water, sugar and butter in a saucepan. Stir over moderate heat until butter, sugar and chocolate have melted. Allow to cool slightly.

Sift flours together into a large mixing bowl. Add the cooled chocolate mixture, lightly beaten eggs and vanilla. Mix well until combined and the batter is smooth.

Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for approximately 1¼ hours, or until cake is cooked in the centre and the top is golden brown. Allow cake to cool in pan for 20 minutes before turning it onto a wire rack to cool completely.


I baked them in patty pans and they're just perfect!

ETA: Have completely failed to not buy shoes, hence the cute little vintage sixties silver sling-backs that I'm now wearing. Also, slashybits your card arrived the other day. I'd probably go a bit mad on bags as well, because I really do think I have enough shoes.
