Yay, I can actually shower at home today!

Ah, that's right, I never actually mention that my shower decided to block up the other day, and despite four applications of Draino, it refused to unblock. So yesterday I went to gym first thing in the morning and did my thing with the cross-trainer and the weights just so I could have a shower.

That was cool, because, you know, exercise is good, but I was not looking forward to repeating the experince. Firstly because once I leave home I tend to get distracted by shoes and coffee shops with yummy looking cake so I don't get home for a very long time. And the whole point of taking time off was to stay home and study for my exams.

Secondly, and most importantly, because the showers at my gym have very, exceedingly see-through doors. Now, I'm pretty private person, and while I've gotten used to getting changed in front of my fellow gym members, getting naked in front of them? Not high on my list of favourite things to do. Fortunately it was early and there was only a couple of girls around, but still, I was very glad when the tall plumber with his handy-dandy plunger paid me a visit yesterday afternoon.

And then I went to the shops and got distracted by cake and shoes.

* An American in Paris is on TV. I love this movie so much, yet I don't own a copy of the DVD. Why is that?

* It's nearly 12.30pm and I'm still in my jimjams. Am I being lazy or is it perfectly okay to loll around in one's pyjamas when one is on holiday?

* I love my new bookcases to an almost ridiculous extent. They make my flat seem complete.

* In the week's edition of In Press, they pointed out that Afternoon Delight by the Starland Vocal Band is a song about shagging. I can just hear Casey pointing out very loudly that it is no such thing! and Danny telling him that if he read's the lyrics closely, it really is.

* I really need to vacuum my carpet and wash my hair. The two things are not necessarily related.

*I think I'll go and watch some due South.
