Greetings from the old home town!
*waves*
I'm currently sitting on the floor next to the cat flap at my sister's house because the telephone cord doesn't reach very far and I need it so as to access my annoying dial-up account. Last night I had a severe case of technology envy when the brother-in-law whipped out his laptop and proceeded to check his eBay account using his wireless broadband. It wasn't pretty.
It seems I have become one of the few people who can be trusted to look after my nephew solo. My mum doesn't even have that privilege. This morning, the BiL went off to golf, and then my sister fled the house to go walking with a friend, leaving me to wrangle the baby all by myself! So we played outside for a while, then came in a watched a Wiggles DVD, ate some cheese and a banana, played leggo, and I even managed to stop him from beating the cat up too much.
Now of course, I'm his new best friend, and apparently best friends wheel small boys in wheelbarrows up and down the back yard until their arms about to fall off, then they have to have raspberries blown on their back where their tops rides up when they sit, and sit with them in their little wading pool (thankfully without water) and watch while little boys play in their sand box. Being the best friend to a not quite two year-old is very hard work!
