As [livejournal.com profile] in_the_bottle has just pointed out, today's weather is much more reasonable than yesterday. Mid 20's as opposed to mid 30's (which is where it is supposed to climb to tomorrow.)

I was going to ride over to Brunswick today and do some fruit and veg shopping, but I may end up doing that in Station street and going out to Greensborough instead so I can visit Savers. Not that I actually have any money to spend, I just like wandering around Savers. It's a thing, don't ask.

I went to see Narnia last night and it was wonderful. Very magical and true to the story, and the actors who played Peter, Susan, Edmond and Lucy did a fantastic job, especially the girl who played Lucy. I looooved Aslan (but who doesn't love Aslan, especially when he has Liam Neeson's voice) and I thought Tilda Swinton did a marvelous job as the Witch.

The only down side to the evening was the guy sitting next to me had rather wandering hands. I don't think he meant anything by it, he's just one of those people who spread out when they sit. But by the end of the movie I was practically sitting in A's lap just so my thigh wasn't accidentally groped again. Ewww!

When I got home today there was a card in my letter box telling me that I have a registered letter waiting for me at the post office. I hate getting those cards. For me registered letters mean only one of two things; a) my rent is going up (got that card in July) or b) I have to start looking for somewhere to live. What I am hoping is that it's got something to do with the passport I applied for last week, because I really can't afford to move at the moment, what with having spent all my money on a trip to Vietnam.

Oh, didn't I mention it? I'm going to Vietnam for a holiday in February. And since all my available cash has been spent on plane tickets and accommodation, I can't possible move house at this juncture, thank you very much.

And since the post office was close by the time I got home and found the damn card, I am now going to have to sweat it out until morning. Sleepless night, here I come!

ETA: I've just been cheered up with an advanced viewing (at least for Australia) of the Doctor Who Christmas special. I think David Tennant is my new sekret boyfriend.

EETA: Another good way to forget your troubles is to watch a 6'2" queen prance around his livingroom in two inch platforms to Kim Carnes. Works every time.
