I think I left my shiny new Fendi sunglasses, the very expensive sunglasses that I bought at the one of the duty free shops at the airport in Bangkok, in the taxi that took me home last night. And when I say left, I mean they must have fallen out of my bag when I pulled my purse out to pay the driver and I didn't notice until I went to put them on as I left the house this morning.

There is the possibility that they are at my sister-in-law's house, hidden away under a couch cushion or something, but I had a look when I was over there this morning and couldn't see hide nor hair of them, so the only other place they could be is the taxi. I rang the taxi company and asked them to check with the driver, but I'm not holding out much hope of getting them back. God knows how many passengers he had last night, and not everyone in this world would think to hand in a pair of sunglasses that they found in the back seat of a cab. I can just imagine someone going 'Hey, cool, Fendi!' and into their pocket they go.

I should have known better than to buy a decent pair of sunglasses instead of the elcheapos that I usually get from the Anti-Cancer Council. I always end up losing my sunnies and I'd much rather be down $40 than $220!

I took my nephew on an adventure today. A tram ride! We saw some trams when we went for a walk yesterday, so when I went over to see them this morning I took him out while the adults had showers. We went up Chapel St, from from Carlisle St to High St and back again. We were probably gone 45 minutes tops, and he wouldn't let go of me the whole time we were out, but he was so cute and I really think he had fun. It was hard to tell because he didn't say much, but I'm assuming that the fact that he didn't start crying means he enjoyed himself.

But with the tram rides and the sunglasses search and the trying to drive through Commonwealth Games disrupted traffic, I ended up having a very late lunch and ate way too much because it was so yummy. The result being that, although I really to need to go to the supermarket, I can't be bothered lifting my arse off the couch.

I need chocolate. And I need to finish watching Mojo Rising where Maury Chaykin has the worst southern accent ever and poor confused Ray is too cute for words. And I need to work out how to do my latest assignment and I also need to get my laundry off the line, finish doing my dishes and read work's strategic plan again. But most of all I really need chocolate.
