Well, the great baby cover-up of 2006 didn't exactly go to plan, thanks mostly to, errm, the baby. For some reason it decided it didn't want to be born on Good Friday. It decided that Easter Saturday would be a better day to emerge into the real world. We hope. Last I heard N had been moved into the birthing suite at the hospital so I'm assuming that's a good sign, but we shall see.
However operation bamboozle mother has come completely unstuck. We realised that we'd be able to hold out until about midday today, but we knew that she'd be expecting me to appear sometime after that, plus she'd be thinking that N would drop by this afternoon, so I took the nephew over to her house this morning and came clean. She wasn't too miffed, and we did point out that she was the one who wanted to be kept in the dark, hence our (almost) cleaver ruse. And if it weren't for certain stubborn baby's we would have gotten away with it.
And to top it all off, I forgot to put sugar in the hot cross buns I made yesterday.
*grumbles*
ETA: Some pictures of my sister's cats.
( Bonnie, looking pretty damn good for a 16 year old )
( Rita getting a little too personal with my pooter. )
