Does a watched download ever download?
Apparently not since it's taking forever for my Norton update to download on my slow as hell dial-up. It's been going since 7pm and it'll be another two hours before it's finished. At this rate I don't see myself getting to bed before 1am because once it's finished I'll have to go through the whole installation thing. Bloody internet security. Bloody morons who make it necessary for us to have to have internet security in the first place.
*grumbles*
My plans to get my essay finished tonight didn't quite come off either, and my visit to the old home town this weekend meant that I missed out on most of the fun over at![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
out_of_con_txt_, including the huge-ass chat that started yesterday afternoon and that I think is still going. But there's been loads of wonderful due South fic posted, as well and icons, meta discussion and a general outburst of fanishness. china_shop and sageness were absolute troopers for organising it all and deserve medals for what they've done.
But despite all that I had a lovely visit with the nephew this weekend. On Saturday we went to the park and had a ride on the tram, fed the swans and went down the slide, while today we dug in the garden and buried some walnuts, and had sausages and sauce in white bread for lunch.
Who says I missed out on anything?
