They Say What They Say

It's a beautiful day outside, yet I'm sitting on the couch all rugged up and with the heater on because I'm freezing! Apparently the tree outside my loungeroom window is doing too good a job because it hasn't let a skerrick of sunlight in all afternoon!

*shivers*

It's shepherd's pie for dinner tonight because obviously I have a glut of shepherds around my way¹. I also tried to re-enroll for school next year, but the online enrollment thingie (which is supposed to make our lives easier!) wouldn't work for me so I'll have to try and talk to a real person tomorrow and do it the old fashioned way. Six subjects down and one to go then I'm done. It's a good feeling, I tell you, especially when you look at it this way:

I'm off to a cultural event next month. Well, that is if you call Toni Collette at the Northcote Social Club doing the live gig thing to plug her new album cultural. But I've always been a bit of a fan of hers, and she was wonderful in Little Miss Sunshine. Also, I've been acting like such a hermit lately that I've got to get out of the house and socialise before I forget how!

My kitchen is now a complete disaster, but the shepherd's pie has cute little potato stars piped onto it and is browning in the oven.

And now for my next trick, I will finish the SN I've been working on and get it off to beta!

ETA: Now I'm too hot, but the shepherds were lovely!
