They Say What They Say

It's pouring with rain outside, which is good because we desperately need the rain, but not so good because I'm driving to the old home town today and I hate driving in the rain. At least it's daylight. If it was night time I'd probably forget about it until tomorrow.

I'm babysitting all weekend. My sister and the BIL are off to a wedding and they're leaving F with me while they're away. They're taking Z with them because she's a bit too young to be left behind and one of her other aunts is looking after her while they're at the wedding, but I've got the toddler who's favourite word is 'Why?' for two whole days.

I will, no doubt, be going to the park a lot and going on many bus rides (he's obsessed with public transport) as well as watching many hours of Bananas in Pyjamas and Fireman Sam. If I'm lucky he won't kick up too much of a fuss at bedtime, and if I'm extra lucky I'll get to sleep in until 6am, and not be woken at 5.30 as is his current wont. But it's so hard to resist him when he smiles his huge, bright smile, and the way he finds glee in everything he does. Plus, when he calls me 'Ezzie' I just melt!

I think I need coffee. I definitely need to have a shower and get dressed. Also, all the laundry I hung out in the sun yesterday is now sodden and I need to get that in and put it on clothes horses before I leave. But first I need coffee.
