I was going spend the afternoon working on the five things prompts from yesterday, but a little adventure into clubland last night to see US DJ Chuck Love has left me somewhat hungover and very pooped.

It was a fantastic night. We spent most of it on the dance floor and the $5 Becks special edition brew was too good to resist, hence the hangover. There was this one moment where I had to fend off this guy who thought a good way to pick me up was to run his fingers through my hair without asking while I waited at the bar, but I soon got rid of him and went back shakin' my ass! I got home at about 3.30, which isn't hideously late, but I got woken up by my neighbours at around 9.30 and couldn't get back to sleep :~\

I have, at least, manged to do my civic duty and went out to vote in the state election today. I wanted to vote at Clifton Hill primary school (where the parent's club had a sausage sizzle and muffin stand) on my way to pick up my car from where I left it last night, but I'm not registered in that electorate so I had to go back to Fairfield (alas, no sausages or muffins on offer.) It took me all of five minutes to have my name crossed off the list and fill out the ballot and afterwards I rewarded myself with a Wagon Wheel and an iced coffee. Now I think I've become glued to the couch, but I need to go and hang out my laundry and do the dishes so I'd better figure out how to unglue myself soonish.

Why can't the housework piskies just come and do it all for me, that's what I want to know!
