They Say What They Say

I'm very behind in reading my flist answering comments. This is mostly due to the fact that I am somewhat hung over from the New Year's do I went to yesterday.

Note to self: sometimes having a social life is not a good thing.

I got home at 8pm last night and pretty much crashed, only to wake at 5.30am and not be able to get back to sleep. I'm very tired but I don't want to go to bed until at least 10pm otherwise my internal clock will be all skewiff.

Today I bought books and tomorrow I'm off to the old home town, which apparently got hit with a very severe storm last night. They had more rain in 20 minutes than they'd had in the whole of December and flash flooding damaged homes, businesses and the Gold Museum. I was wondering why my sister left a panicked message on my answering machine asking me to tape The West Wing for her because the TV stations got knocked out as well!

I've just made the yummiest dinner. Pork and vegetable skewers with a salad of cous cous, sultanas, toasted almonds and coriander and dressed with lemon juice and olive oil. I got the recipe out of the cook book I bought last week and it's both tasty and low fat!

I was going to do all this housework today and do you think I did? Don't answer that.
