I'm home at last, although leaving the old home town was fairly fraught. You try leaving when you've got a distraught three year-old clinging to your legs and loudly declairing that he would happily give up receiving presents for the rest of his life if it meant that you didn't have to leave him to go to work. I'm sure he would have tried to hold me captive in his cubby house if he'd have thought of it, and yes, that was moisture in my eyes as I left.

*sigh*

Any vague thoughts I had about moving interstate to get a better job have pretty much gone out the window in the last couple of hours. How could I even think about leaving after that? I'd even consider moving back to the old home town if the job prospects were vaguely reasonable and as long as I didn't have to live with my mother.

*double sigh*

Now I'm as full as a goog on satay chicken and steamed rice from the Chinese take-away in Clifton Hill, and I have a big pile of laundry and dishes that I need to deal with, but do you think I can be bothered? All I want to do is put on my pyjamas and wallow on the couch until bed time.

Why didn't I buy that bottle of red on my way home?
