It's ridiculously hot.
I'm at work, but the air conditioning has died so yes, it's ridiculously hot.
My interview went extremely well. It sounds funny, but I would count it as one of the most enjoyable job interviews I have ever attended. The people were very nice, they didn't ask me anything I couldn't answer and not once was the dreaded 'Where do you see yourself years...?' mentioned. My feet hated me for walking from Bourke Street, up Lonsdale Street, to Spring Street and then down to the Flinders Street corner in heels, and I couldn't give them the full impact of The Suit because it was too hot to wear the jacket, but my new top made me look very professional and even the written exercise that I had to complete wasn't too onerous, largely owing to all the notes I put together beforehand. Even if I don't get the job, it was a very positive experience and I was really glad they asked me in.
Thank you to everyone who sent me well-wishes. I haven't had time to reply to you all, but I really appreciate the good thoughts and they obviously worked!
*snugs flist*
Afterwards I got my hair cut in St Kilda and then I met some friends for dinner at Soulmama, the vegetarian restaurant at the old St Kilda sea baths. OMG, I ate so much! I only had the medium sized option, but so much food! When I got home all I could do was clean my teeth and fall into bed where I lingered in a food coma for the next ten hours. I'm definitely going back, but next time I think I'll have the smaller salad option so I can have some of the divine looking vegan chocolate cake for dessert.
I'm off out again tonight. T's bar is celebrating its first anniversary this month, and then A is DJing at a pub in Abbotsford tonight. Where did this social life suddenly come from?
