The old home town has this reputation for being a bit of a chilly place to live. I mention to people where I grew up and they immediately scrunch their face and say, "Oh, no, much too cold for me!" And yeah, in winter freezing is a word that can often be used to adequately describe it.

However most people seem to forget that summer happens there to, even though it's generally 2-3 degrees cooler than Melbourne. Tomorrow, not so much. I just saw the weather report and in Melbourne we're expecting a balmy 32C. In the old home town - where I'll be driving to in the morning - 36C!!!!

I guess it beats today's 40C :~\
