I've been somewhat boring of late, but oh my god work is killing me at the moment! What with demanding bosses, irate customers, upset co-workers, books that we cannot borrow no matter how much we beg and journal articles that disappear into the ethernet for no reason, I am just about ready to tear my hair out. I can't believe it's only Wednesday. Why can't it be Friday already? No wonder I've ended up at Uni House with a glass or three of house red as dinner most nights this week /o\
I feel like I'm so behind with everything at the moment, fandom and my flist in particular. Since when is there a new Sorkin fic challenge? I can hardly keep up with all the Supernatural con reports and picspam from the last couple of weeks, and just know that Ray and Fraser at up to something somewhere, but damned if I can find out what. But I finally managed to watch Paul Gross' interview from The Hour last night, and OMG, I so want that man's babies! How can he be so smart and handsome and thinky and articulate? He's a freak. A gorgeous, dorky, ridiculously intelligent freak!
My one big achievement this week was watching my new Brideshead Revisited DVDs. Such a beautiful series. And so slashy! We all knew that of course - the doomed love of Charles and Sebastian being one of the central themes - but it's been many years since I last watched the series and the last time I did was before I started wearing slash-coloured glasses. I had completely forgotten that the early parts, before it All Went Wrong, were so 'Aww, boys in lerve!' There's more to it than that, of course, and the latter half that concentrates on Charles' relationship with Julia is just as heartbreaking, but it's his early relationship with Sebastian that lingers in the mind long after the final credits roll.
I suddenly have a lot of fruit in the house, thanks to the regifting of an unwanted fruit basket from a work colleague who doesn't eat much fruit, and is it just me or is LJ acting hinkey tonight? Hmm, maybe I'll just go to bed.
