It's football grand final day in good old Melbourneous and later today I will be toddling over to C's house to watch the game while we drink beer and eat party pies and sausage rolls1. I have no interest in football, but for some reason the grand final always draws me in, even if it's just an excuse to sit around drinking beer and eating junk food with my friends.
However before I do that I'm going to put on a load of laundry and go to gym. I'll feel better about about the booze and the pies if I've put in a hour on the cardio machines first. But I don't know whether to risk put the laundry on the line or not. It's looking okay at the moment, but I'm not sure it will stay that way because the weather has been so unpredictable lately and the forecast is for rain, hale and thunder.
I know, I'll have a shower, go to gym, and if it's still okay when I get home then I'll take the risk.
Yeah.
1Party pies and sausage rolls are miniature versions of the real thing. They're often served at kid's birthday parties in Australia, although recently they've begun to appear on cocktail food menus for nostalgic adults who think a party isn't a party without some sort of pastry encased meat to soak up the booze.
