If I ever entertained any thoughts about becoming a single mother, spending the entire weekend with the nieces and nephew while their parents fanged off to a conference in Melbourne has well and truly cured me of such insane nonsense. I was absolutely shattered by the time I got home last night and I'm still feeling a little wobbly. Over the course of the last two days I visited every play centre in the old home town, dealt with a inconsolable child throwing a tantrum in public, been talked into various forms of junk food just to keep the peace, watched endless hours of Bob the Builder, got woken up at 4.30am by a nearly two-year-old who wanted a snuggle with aunty L and always had at least one 'friend' accompany me to the loo every time I needed to go.

But the worst thing was, the cappuccino machine ran out of coffee beans Sunday morning and I couldn't work out how to refill it! Arrgh!!

When my sister and her husband finally got home on Sunday I was never so pleased to see them in my life. The first thing I did was have them make me a cup of coffee and then I shooed everyone out of the lounge room so I could collapse on the couch for a couple of hours. When I finally woke up my sister invited me to stay over an extra night and drive back to Melbourne in the morning, but I so needed my bed that I politely declined and made my way back home quick-smart.

I love those kids, I really do, but three at once on my own is as good a contraceptive as I could ever hope for!

However in between changing nappies and visits to Fun Bugs, I did have a small window of opportunity to view last weeks' Supernatural, and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. Cut for spoilers )

I cannot wait for the next episode, the promo looks hilarious! Is it Friday yet?
