My two weeks off has started swimmingly with a fabulous night out at The Blow Waves gig on Saturday night and lunch with A&O on Sunday. Of course having gotten home from the Blowies at 5.30am I was hardly the most edifying lunch date, and my really feet hurt from all the dancing, but it was good to see the boys and my olive tapenade and goats cheese roll was just what I needed to cut through the hangover.

Didn't do much today; I was going to go to gym, but C drove my car home on Saturday night and I forgot that the key to the bike shed was on the same ring as my car key. That put a spanner in the works so in the end I met up with C in the city to get my keys, fetched my car, bought some moisturizer and made some biscuits to take the the Melbourne Cup party I'm going to tomorrow. I wish the weather was going to be better because I've got a fabulous new frock that I'd like to wear. But the forecast is for wind and showers so I might be digging out the jeans instead. I kind of feel sorry for all those girls who'll be tripping around Flemington in their flimsy dresses and heels, but honestly, anyone who expects predictable weather in Melbourne in the middle of spring is both a fool and an idiot.

Meanwhile I think I've become a wee bit obsessed with The Big Bang Theory and can't seem to get enough of the reruns on Go. I'm thinking I'm gong to have to buy the first season on DVD because I haven't seen most of it, and is the second season out on DVD yet? Because as I might have mentioned I'm just a wee bit obsessed with it, yeah.
