Meanwhile, here's a recipe I know you'll enjoy; low-fat chocolate cake that actually tastes like chocolate cake!

Chocolate Fudge Cake
Serves 8.
Approx 7.5g of fat per serve.

85g (3oz) dark chocolate, chopped finely
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 cup firmly packed soft brown sugar
1/2 cup boiling water
2 egg yolks and 4 egg whites (or 3 eggs, separated, which is what I used so I didn't have to waste 2 egg yolks)
1/4 cup almond meal (I accidentally put in 1/3 cup and think that worked much better)
1/3 cup wholemeal (wholewheat) plain flour (I only had self-raising wholemeal and once again thought it worked better)

1. Preheat over to 180C (350F). Line the base and sides of a deep, 20cm round cake pan and grease well.
2. Combine chocolate, cocoa, sugar and water in a large bowl and stir until smooth. Add egg yolks and mix well. Fold in almond meal and flour.
3. Beat egg whites in a small bowl until stiff. Gently fold into chocolate mixture and pour into prepared pan.
4. Bake for around 40 minutes or until cooked. Let cake stand in pan for five minutes before turning onto a wire rack. Remove paper.
5. Serve warm, dusted with icing sugar. It's delicious with some strawberries and dollop of double cream.
