They Say What They Say

(Laylee goes to get nephew out of bed after his afternoon nap.)

Me: Bonjour!
Nephew: We going out?
Me: We can. Where would would like to go?
Nephew: The park!
Me: Okay.

(Laylee picks nephew up and carries him into the lounge room where his mum is sitting on the couch feeding his little sister.)

Mum: Hello, sweetheart.
Nephew: We going to the park!
Mum: Are you? That's great! Come over here and give mum a kiss.

(Nephew looks at mum and then aunty Laylee and kisses aunty Laylee instead.)

Mum: *sigh*
Me: Oh dear.
Nephew: *grins*
