The last couple of days the Faculty of Arts has been running a conference in one of the big lecture theatres in the Economics building, and I keep running into this guy who I had a super major crush on a few years ago.
It was one of those things where we met at a party, sparked off each other quite heavily but for one reason or another (mostly due inebriation and a couple of *cough* other reasons) never got the change to get together. We met up again a few weeks later, had a really deep and intense conversation that lasted FIVE HOURS, but by that time he'd started seeing someone else and so whatever it was that we'd previously had, the moment had passed. I continued to crush on him for a while but I got over it, however I still get a bit of a flutter whenever I run into him. And since he's an alumnus of UM that has been quite frequently over the last two days.
It's all very weird and somewhat hard to explain, but I'm glad that when I saw him sitting in the courtyard outside the cafe next to the library today, he didn't notice me.
