Good heavens, this is the first time in over a year that I've written something other than Sports Night. I don't know how my brain has coped! My apologies to Charles Dickens for (miss)appropriating his title.
Okay, got the shirt. Got the pants. Yay! Cool pants. Nice, stylish pants that'll bag me this job, for sure.
Tie, tie, tie. Damn this tie. Why didn't I buy a new tie? Why is this the only tie that I own? How can it be that I am stuck with something my dad wouldn't even wear, if he wore ties at all, which he doesn't.

Oh, yeah, brain-flash.
Giles has ties. More ties than one British librarian has a right to own. Maybe a little on the sedate side, but better than something that looks like I dropped my pizza on it and left it in the sun to dry.
Okay, new plan. Go by the G-man's, grab a tie and then hustle my bustle into town.
Yeah, good plan.
You are gonna ace this, Xander, I can feel it in my bones.
Right. Shirt, freshly washed and ironed by my own hand, I might add, pants - tie coming up. What else do I need?
Shoes. Mmm, shoes are good. Nice shiny shoes. Shoes that tell prospective employers that you don't live in a cave. Or the basement of your parents house which…
Okay, don't go there.
Shoes. And socks. New socks that were sitting in a department store yesterday. Nice new socks that still have the tags attached. Black socks. What is it about black socks that screams cool and sophisticated?
Shoes over socks and, voila!
Yep, that'll do nicely, thank you.
Got everything else? Keys, wallet, watch, stake, holy water…
