I've just gone and accidentally scattered bicarbonate of soda all over my kitchen, including the newly washed dishes.
*headdesk*
I have therefore decided that my dinner guests will not be coming over tomorrow night. I will bring the dinner to them instead. This is far preferable because I have splitting headache and cannot be bothered tidying up my flat for guests.
A called at about 10pm last night to tell me that Achilles had finally come home, hungry and covered in burrs but thankfully in one piece. I don't think he'll be allowed outside again for a good long while.
I spent most of the day out and about. Shoes were not purchased, although many pairs were tried on. But I did find a new pair of jeans in this little boutique in High Street, which means I now have two pairs of good jeans as opposed to the 0 pairs I had before. I mean I had jeans, they were just old and not terribly presentable if I wanted to be smart casual at work. I still want shoes, though. But then again I always want shoes so there's nothing terribly unusual there :~\
Oh, I have beer in the fridge!
