"You look like shit, man."

"Thank you so much for pointing that out," Jeremy replied. He ran his fingers through his hair and wished Elliot would go away.

But Elliot didn't budge and remained with one hip propped on Jeremy's desk. "Rough night?"

"I couldn't sleep."

"I hate it when I can't sleep."

"Me to."

Elliot kept sitting there, looking at him expectantly. Jeremy picked up a folder and started leafing through it, hoping the action suggested that he had work to do and that he didn't have time for conversations about why he couldn't sleep.

Finally Elliot got to his feet. "Take it easy, man."

"You bet," Jeremy muttered as Elliot wandered away.
