I was wondering why my French was a bit rusty nonexistent.

France Modern (trois fleurs-de-lis)
You are 'French'. In the nineteenth century, it
was the international language of diplomacy.
It is a 'beautiful' language, meaning that it
is really just a low-fidelity copy of Latin.

You know the importance of communicating
'diplomatically', which for you means both
being polite and friendly when necessary and
using sophisticated, vicious sarcasm when
appropriate. Your life is guided by either
existentialism or nihilism, depending on the
weather. You have a certain appreciation for
the finer things in life, which is a diplomatic
way of saying that you are a disgusting
hedonist. Your problem is that French has been
obsolete for a long time.

What obsolete skill are you?

Did you look at 'all results'? They include shorthand - far from obsolete, shorthand secretaries still get paid obscene amounts of money and I wish I'd ever managed to learn it (it's also good for general notetaking, and imagine how fast one could write down those fleeting fanfic ideas!) - and growing one's own food, a skill that will never be anything other than useful. Even if it's only a tomato plant or some herbs, it all helps. Also Latin, which is helpful for understanding things, even if no-one actually speaks it. Silly quiz.

growing one's own food

Well, obviously me and my little pots of herbs are just completely behind the times. And shorthand would be so useful when I'm in class of if the plot bunnie bites and I need to get the thought on paper before it runs away.

*giggles* French is obsolete, says the American quiz. *runs and hides*

The ironic thing is, where I work I really need to know French because of all the books written in French that we collect!
