I'm pretty sure it went well, although one can never truly tell until the results are known. I pretty much knew everyone on the panel, which consisted of ex-boss, current department head, current division head, and someone from Monash. They were all very pleasant and nice, and at one stage I thought M (current dept head) was going to burst out laughing! They didn't ask me anything too hard or that I didn't have an answer for. I did waffle a bit, but that's just me and ex-boss did say that above all else I should just be myself.
Of course when it came to the "Do you have any questions?" question, my mind went blank, and I know I could have been clearer in my response to the "Where do you see yourself...?" question. But the suit went down a treat (money definitely well spent!) and I left the interview with a big smile on my face, so I suppose all I can do now is wait and see.
ETA: Just saw ex-boss who said I interviewed really well, but he can't make any promises and that I, like everyone else who is being considered for the position, should be prepared for disappointment. Which more or less means that they haven't made up their minds yet.
I think the wait's gonna kill me!

Your Birthdate: March 23 |
With a birthday on the 23rd of the month (5 energy) you are inclined to work well with people and enjoy them. You are talented and versatile, very good at presenting ideas. You may have a tendency to get itchy feet at times and need change and travel. You tend to be very progressive, imaginative and adaptable. Your mind is quick, clever and analytical. A restlessness in your nature may make you a bit impatient and easily bored with routine. You may have a tendency to shirk responsibility. Very sociable, you make friends easily and you are an excellent traveling companion. |

... um. Yes. It sounds as if you did an excellent job, and should have a good chance. I would say don't count on it too much in case you're disappointed, but that's impossible, I'll just hope for the best.
And the interview will be good experience, and the suit is an investment, also an incentive never to put on any weight, ever.
... I wonder if I can even still get into my One Good Coat?

It was a very good investment and I can never ever put on any weight if I want to fit into the jacket for the foreseeable future. Of course tonight's fish and chips don't count...

We had salad last night for the first time this year. Yay! I made potato salad, which in my case has potatoes in, duh, and also a hard-boiled egg squished up into the mayonnaise, which has to be Hellmans (it was low-fat, I defend myself), and sweetcorn, and a chopped-up-tinily spring onion, or chives, or both. And this other salad I invented, which is an apple and a pear and a couple of pieces of beetroot all diced and mixed up together, and then you dissolve about half a teaspoon of honey in a little bit of boiling water and stir that in, with some wine vinegar, and which is my favourite with smoked mackerel. Yummy. Only we didn't have any smoked mackerel, we had tuna burgers, but that was okay too.
Mmm. Food. I think I talk about it to try to stop myself actually eating it. And yet.

So, no, I like Caesar salad too. Which is bad news, because that's really high calorie. I don't like the one with apples and walnuts and celery very much, though. Oh, and I hate cold pasta, so any sort of pasta salad is out.
