You see, here's the thing.

I live in a nice, quiet block of flats with nice, quiet neighbours who don't play loudly obnoxious music late at night or do burn-outs in the drive way early in the morning. We all respect each other's need for peace and general it works just fine.

Except for last night when next door neighbour guy (NDNG) decided that he and his guest had to have a loud, rambling and, I suspect, slightly drunk conversation until TWO FUCKING AM IN THE MORNING!

What NDNG failed realise, I think, was that my bedroom wall backs onto his living room and that like most blocks of flats of a certain vintage, the walls are somewhat thin. Therefore a private conversation is really not that private at all when your neighbour can hear every word spoken through their bedroom wall.

I banged on the wall a couple of times, but he either ignored me or thought it was possums playing on the fence outside. Finally I gave up and pulled out the earplugs, but I hate wearing earplugs to bed because they make my heart beat seem so LOUD.

So I couldn't sleep, and I couldn't sleep, and the ear plugs were annoying, and what's a guy who usually goes to work at 7.30am doing up until TWO FUCKING AM IN THE MORNING on a work night?

They eventually went to bed, but not before I had images on myself stomping next door in my pyjamas to demand silence.
