I have new bookcases!

Or at least I will when the furniture shop delivers them in a couple of weeks.

You have no idea how many years I have been living with about half my books in piles on the floor. And my videos have never had any sort of home at all. But now I will be able to shelve *everything* and have a little room left over for expansion. Of course what I will do when I run out of expansion room is beyond me, but for the moment I have new bookcases, which is simply the best thing that has happened to me in ages!

My neighbours are having a party. Spying on them from my kitchen window (where I can look down at their back yard) I saw a lot of very dressed up people drinking champagne as they talked and laughed. Some of them are wearing funny hats.

Of course I would have guessed about the party without having to resort to spying because of the heinously middle-of-the-road music emanating from their general direction, along with all the talking and laughing.

It's a good thing I'm not tired or anything, or that I wasn't planning on going to bed early because the kids next door woke me up this morning with their noisy trampoline. And of course I just love being subjected to heinously easy listening music and hearing a bunch middle-aged people laugh it up when I'm dead on my feet from having been woken up way too early by noisy kids. I just love it.
