Now I know why there were helicopters hovering around last night: Locals Shocked by Lawyer Murder.

That poor family, what they're going through right now is unbelievable. And I just cannot believe that such a terrible thing like this can happen so close to my home. I shop there, practically every second day! My favourite cake shop is only a few doors doen from the office, and I always get take-away coffee from the cafe next door because they're slightly cheaper than the bakery up the road and the barrista knows my order off by heart. I remember when that office was the real estate agency before they moved across the road to the shop where the MS opp shop was before they moved into the shop next to Bakers Delight.

The worst thing about all of this is, is that Fairfield is such a boring, white-bread kind of place where parents can let their kids play on the street and walk to school on their own. This sort of thing does not happen in places like Fairfield and I hate that we're probably all going to be a little bit more suspicious of strangers and a little less friendly toward our neighbours because of it.
