I may be a little drunk. My mum has this cask (yes, a cask!) of rough red and it's actually not too bad. I keep topping up my glass before it's fully empty. It's not a small glass, so yeah; I may be a little drunk.

I arrived at the old home town yesterday to be promptly informed by F and Z that I was taking them to the park and we were going to have ice cream. Mummy and daddy were not invited. Nether was M, although all she's really interested in at the moment is trying to cram both hands into her mouth so I think the joys of the park would have been lost on her anyway. So I jumped into the Territory and off we went.

An hour and a half later I was exhusted. Both kids were covered in a combination of melted ice cream and park dust and we'd been up and down the slide at least a couple of dozen times. I now know that someone of my height cannot go down the twisty slide backwards, and some children and their parents are really very rude. F had a ball running around with a bunch of random kids, while Z is even more bold and fearless since she turned two last week and her antics are enough to turn my hair grey! Also, she knows how to use the word 'actually' in context. She really is scary smart.

I accidentally squished Z's finger when we were playing crash (one of us goes down the slide and waits at the bottom, then the next person goes down and crashes into the fist, and so on) and after watching him run across the park I am convinced that F should become a long distance runner because that boy sure has stamina! By the time we got home all any of us could do was eat dinner and get ready for bed. I was in bed by 11pm (which is early for me) and then I had the strangest dream about Last Night. No Craig having sex, unfortunately. It wouldn't have been so bad if nekkid CKR having sex had been involved :~\

Is it wrong that I should by a book simply because the author's last name is Kowalski?

My mum had her cataract op today. She's okay. It was only one eye and she was in and out in a couple of hours. N and I took the kids out for coffee this morning and scoped out a possible venue for her big birthday this year. Then we went to the bike shop so I could buy a basket for the bike I keep at mum's house and of course F had to help me fit it to the carrier rack. He's an enthusiastic helper, even if his attention to detail is a little lacking. But that's what you get when your assistant is only four.

OMG, Robert Wagner, James Spader, Jeri Ryan and William Shatner are on my TV screen all at the same time in an episode of Boston Legal. Too many fandoms. Cannot compute.

*melts*

ETA: Now Parker Posey has turned up in the same ep. What is going on???
