They Say What They Say

My first day back at work was not unpleasant. Having to get up at 7.30 when I'd gotten used to sleeping in until nine was a bit of a shock to the system, but I got over that, especailly when I got to work and found the 'Welcome Back Glorious Leader!' sign the troops had made for me on my PC. It really made my day and I hope they don't take it back after we've done the performance reviews later in the week.

In more amusing news, at the brother-in-law's party on the weekend, one of my sister's friends thought that best work friend and I were a couple! I'm not quite sure how she got hold of that particular stick, but we've been laughing about it ever since because M probably had to work up a lot of courage to say something. Then we went and crushed her by proclaiming our enduring heterosexuality. I even have a date on Wednesday!

Supernatural is killing me right now. Really, it is. The rift between Sam and Dean is just, so gah! and DTs Sam is not a pretty sight. Ruby is such a bitch, but then again Castiel is also being pretty bitchy at the moment. Bobby, however, is awesome, which is just how it should be.

All of a sudden I am either very hungry or very tired. Bit of both, I think. Maybe I'll have some hot chocolate an go to bed.

I am feeling exceptionally wiped-out after my massage and acupuncture session today. So much so that when I stopped at the BP to buy a choklit frog on the way home, the guy working the console commented on how tired I looked. I also have these spectacular cupping bruises on my back, as well as some tiny bruises from the needles. It's a good thing it's too cold to wear sundresses at the moment cause I look like I've been involved in some freak accident. My back is still a bit sore, though, so I may have to go back for more next week. Hmmm...

It's four days before I go on holidays for three weeks and OMG, I don't think I am ever going to get everything done that I need to do. Basically all I can do is concentrate on the important stuff and leave the rest to take care of its self.

Did you know that while identical twins have the same DNA, their fingerprints are always different. This is because their phenotypes are never the same and phenotype is what determines things like physical appearance.

Yay, Fringe starts again tonight. Not sure long it's going to last, but at least there'll be something worth watching on Monday night while Supernatural is on hiatus.

I think I should make these to give out as Christmas gifts. What do you reckon?

I'm pretty much buried under work at the moment, but I only have two and a half weeks to go and then I'm on holiday until after the new year, woot! This of course means I very little time to do things like go Christmas shopping, but I do intend to knock the cards over over the weekend. therefore, if you haven't already provided your details so that you can be a recipent of a card from down under, over here, speak now or forever hold your peace.

There was no Supernatural on my TV this week and then NCIS went and ripped my heart out tonight *wiibles* However Lew Ahsby completely rocked my world the other day and now I'm contemplating a 'Five People Lew Slept With and One He Didn't' type of fic, featuring a plethora of CKR's characters just because I think it'd be funky and kinda hot. I also watched a reasonably gripping episode of CSI last night and am toying with the idea of a mini West Wing marathon. I could use me some Josh and Donna banter right about now.

I seem to have lost my sewing mojo. Everything I touch turns to shite and I have all this fabric that I'm afraid to cut out lest I ruin it or chose a pattern that refuses to work. Doesn't the universe realise that I need some new summer frocks???
