Hey Melbourne peeps, I know it's late notice but does anyone want to go and see the X-Files movie on Thursday after work?

My car got towed today at Melbourne airport. Fortunately I wasn't driving it at the time because I'd lent it to C for the week, but you can imagine my distress when he calls me at work to inform me that Delia has been kidnapped by Tullamarine parking officers and they won't let her go until C pays $400 dollars and gives them the registration number, and by the way, what is your rego number? Apparently he'd parked in a no standing zone, meaning to stay for no more than ten minutes, got completely stuck at work and didn't get a change to go back for it until two hours later, and by then it had been well and truly towed.

EEEEEEK!

I can hardly remember these things at the best of times, and asking me to give up that sort of information after telling me that my car has been impounded males it virtually impossible. For a moment there I got all confused and thought my rego was the same as my log-in for the British Library, which did no one any good, but fortunately I'd kept an email receipt from one time when I had to buy a day pass for City Link so I was able to get the registration number from that.

I'm not cross. What's the point of being cross? I'm more amused than anything because it's just so typical for something like this to happen to C. Still. Not something I care to repeat any time soon.
