Yesterday and today I got to work a wee bit early so I could leave early to go to gym and be finished in time to catch the last bus home. If I miss the bus I can still get home via train and tram, but it would take twice as long and it's so much easier to get the bus that picks me up from the back door of the library and deposits me practically at my doorstep, hence the slight variation in work hours.
Aaaaanyway, I didn't go to gym at all last week and this week I've been trying a new variation on my program which means I'm doing fewer sets but the overall workout is slightly more intense. Thus my body is really feeling it at the moment, and OMG was I craving carbs when I got home tonight. I managed to ignore the cravings for a while and made my grilled chicken and steamed veg dinner (boring, I know, but it's quick and easy to prepare and anyway, I like me some steamed veg and grilled chicken!) but just now as I was settling down with a cup of peppermint tea I could not resist the siren call of bread products any more. Two big slices of walnut and date banana bread later...
Tomorrow morning I'm having bacon and eggs for breakfast, just because I can *g*
