I successfully resisted the urge to buy shoes today, despite the fact that two of the shoe shops in the non-factory outlet end of Smith Street were having 50% off sales. Instead I bought groceries and a cute little top with sequins for summer. But I didn't buy shoes.

I was pleased that I managed to control myself. But only time will tell if I can sustain the willpower.
