My neighbours are having a party. Spying on them from my kitchen window (where I can look down at their back yard) I saw a lot of very dressed up people drinking champagne as they talked and laughed. Some of them are wearing funny hats.

Of course I would have guessed about the party without having to resort to spying because of the heinously middle-of-the-road music emanating from their general direction, along with all the talking and laughing.

It's a good thing I'm not tired or anything, or that I wasn't planning on going to bed early because the kids next door woke me up this morning with their noisy trampoline. And of course I just love being subjected to heinously easy listening music and hearing a bunch middle-aged people laugh it up when I'm dead on my feet from having been woken up way too early by noisy kids. I just love it.

I actually had to move out of a house I'd lived in for something like 13 years because of a near constant assault of extremely loud rap music, so I sympathize. I know I would have moved even if it had been Muzak being blasted at me. :(

However, I think I'd be more frightened of them because of the belly dancers than their bad taste in music (and their worse manners). ;)

They were at it until nearly 1am. I couldn't go to bed because it was louder in my bedroom than the living room. I wasn't very impressed.

The belly dancer was a nice touch, but they could have at least warned us they were having a party. I would have gone to the old home town for the weekend if I'd know I was destined to get only about ten hours sleep over two days thanks to various noisy neighbours.
