I was going to buy a new toaster today. Instead I bought some seedlings and fetiliser, groceries, and some fairy lights to make my flat look festive. I also put two bras, two pairs of socks and a pair of sleep pants on layby at Kmart because they had 20% off women's underwear, sleepwear, socks and hosiery.
Now I have no money. But both bras do wonders for my cleavage!
I fell off my bike last night while I was riding through the city in the rain. My wheel got caught in a tram track and down I went. Fortunately the taxi right behind me was only crawling so I didn't get squished as well, but now my arms hurt, I have bruises on my left thigh and on both knees, and I tore my left thumb nail down to the quick.
And did I mention that the rain was bucketing down?
I was completely drenched and my sneakers were so saturated that I don't think they'll dry for days. That puts me into a bit of a bind because they're my gym sneakers, and if I can't wear them I can't go to gym. I have another pair of sneakers, but they're more of a fashion type sneaker and not suitable to wear to gym. Not enough arch support. Tomorrow we're supposed to get to 29c, so I'll stick them in the sun and see what happens. Hopefully that'll do the trick.
*sigh*
Think I'll watch some Sports Night and eat chocolate. They never let me down.

I've never had a toaster, I make my own bread and it's too chunky. I make toast under the grill and survive just fine. In fact, I'm off to do just that.

My grill is dodgy as, so I hardly ever use it. I don't know what I'd do if I ever got it into my head to make creme brulee.

I've done a first run through 'Evening the Keel', but I'll go through again tomorrow, I've been really tired all day and I may have missed some stuff.

Maybe putting newspaper in your sneakers would help them dry faster. Somebody who works in a store where they sell running shoes told me about that - I tried it on my son's shoes when he got them soaked and it seemed to help.
