Your pet peeve: poor characterisation, having the characters say or do things they would never reasonably say or do, plot threads left dangling, bad spelling and grammar, ignoring canon for no good reason Your advice to new slashers: get to know your fandom and the characters who inhabit it, have a decent knowledge of canon and don't be afrind to ask for help! Your slash wish list: i don't even know where to begin... Damn, I shall either have to confess my shameful addition to rape 'n' recovery, and there's not enough of it in SN let me tell you, someone - obviously not you, you'd be squicking yourself out, so that wasn't a not-so-subtle hint! - should write me some.
