Some random observations about my first day at university.

-Lecturer doesn't remember me from my last bout of higher education but he does know some of the bigwigs at my current place of employment which could prove useful.

-I should never sit in the very back row near the door because no one knows how to close a door quietly.

-I think I'm going to be a loud mouth in tutorials. I just can't keep my opinion to myself. Not necessarily a bad thing.

-Buying juice and a Killer Python instead of coffee and a muffin during the break is better for my blood sugar levels and keeps me awake in an overly warm lecture theatre.

-Doing the public transport thing might not be so bad and because I have to go back to work after class I get to claim travel expenses on tax.

-There are a couple of cute boys in my class. Always a bonus.

-Had esoteric discussion about salad greens with cute boy at cafe. Much of a bonus.

-Am advised to devote around 6 hours per week to each subject. Does that include contact hours or just homework?

-Must remember to avoid train carriage with drunk man who insists on singing his football team's anthem at the top of his lungs.

-Riding my bike downhill to the train station is a lot more fun than riding up hill to work.

It's homework time, babe. The basic rule of thumb is that for every contact hour you have, you should spend two hours doing the study.

(I have never done that in my entire life, but it's the theory.)

Yeah, yeah, I know. Thank god I'm only doing one subject this semester.

I'm doing two. I'm freaking out already. (Which is why the day of procrastination. Bad way to deal with stress, but it's a coping mechanism.)
