mousey mousey: the return

Mousey Mousey is back.

I was watching TV (well, yes, Supernatural) last night and noticed something out of the corner of my eye and there it was: my unofficial (and very unwelcome) house guest. At least I think it's my old mouse. It looks somewhat bigger than it did last time I saw it, although I suppose I should be grateful that it isn't 'mice'.

Guess who'll be making a trip to the hardware shop for a mouse trap today?

*sigh*

Make a trip to the pet shop for a cat instead?

I really wish I could, but I'm not allowed to have pets and there's more than one person who lives in my block of flats who would dob me in to the landlord if I tried to sneak one in :~\

A Mousey Mousey trap it is, unfortinately. I hate doing it, but I think it's the only way.

Honestly, if I were a mouse I'd rather encounter a trap than a cat. Swift and without torture has got to be the better way.

I just discovered that some how Mousey Mousey climbed on top of the fridge and hopped into MY PEARS! That mouse is so dead.

grrrrrrr!!

Our first night in this house was cat-free (they were still at the cattery). When we got up the next morning our collection of chocolate biscuits had been sampled by mice. So we went and collected the cats :)

Speaking from bitter experience, it is almost always 'mice' and not 'mouse.'

Keep the traps up for a bit after you catch the first one.

Unfortunately the mouse is too cleaver for the traps so it's going to have to be something stronger. I hate doing it but it's either that or I left the place get overrun :~(
