all you (frozen) zombies

I'm pretty sure even the zombies would have frozen their tails off this morning on the way to work. Five degrees C, it was. Bloody five degrees! No wonder my toes were frozen when I finally arrived. And it's not much warmer now, although the girl I saw wandering around in shorts and a t-shirt didn't seem to notice at all. How do people do that??? Don't they know it's winter? At least the zombies have the sense to rug up in the middle of June.

Got out to the car to take kidlets to school/care this morning, and the doors were frozen shut. They thought it was funny...

I'm sure they did. Kids laugh at the oddest things...

Oh, I love that 5o is winter in Melbourne. Just another reason why I need to move there. Winters here? Get to -30 or colder, so +5 seems a little hilarious to me.

I hope you've found somewhere warm and cosy to hunker down.

It sounds great, until you realise that our buildings aren't always heated. In Germany, you were warm as soon as you got inside. Here, that's not always the case...

Work isn't too bad, depending on what part of the library you're in. My office is okay, but the warmest spot is down near the circulation desk. It could be -0 outside and the circ guys are all in t-shirts because it's so warm around there.

the zombies would have been colder here! I saw snow on the hills to the south this morning!

It's been foggy here all day and yesterday the park was so covered in frost it looked like snow.

It was 5 here too. I felt like I was back in England.

I think it was even colder today. I know it was 6 degrees at about lunchtime and it barely got to 12 in the afternoon.
