The other day I was saying how nice and quiet my block of flats was; how I didn't have to put up noisy neighbours who created ruckuses at all hours of the day and night. Last night I was proved wrong.

I don't know what's going on with the girl who lives in #3 - the flat that is almost directly below mine - but all of a sudden it's all loud dinner party conversations in her courtyard that go on until after midnight, slamming doors, thundering on the stairs and last night, the Grease soundtrack and Elvis songs played very loudly at five o'clock in the morning! She gave up after about an hour, but lord could she not have a little consideration for her neighbours who don't appreciate being woken from a sound sleep by Grease is the Word complete with accompanying drunken singing??

I've left her a note asking her to have a little more consideration and I'm going to ask the Body Corporate to remind everyone to respect their fellow residents' quiet enjoyment of their homes. But if it happens again, I'm calling the cops. No questions asked.

It was so out of the ordinary, I can hardly get my head around it. I've been here for nearly 10 years and this is the fist time it's happened. Certainly hope it never happens again!

BAH! its not like loud people dont KNOW they are loud... i mean, how drunk can they be? how horribly inconsiderate. 5am? ugh. next time, dont hesitate to call the cops, for sure.

I don't think it will happen again. The body corporate for this place are pretty good at stamping this sort of thing out and it helps that a number of the units are owner-occupied because they will not tolerate idiots who disturb their sleep *g*

It won't happen again. One of my neighbours told me that she was very sheepish the next day and mostly the people who live here are just not the type. We're all a big bunch of fuddy-duddies!

Been there, so not fun. I hope the note works, but if not, yeah, definitely call the cops.

Fortunately most of the residents here are not the type to cause a ruckus, and I think she's learned her lesson. Either way we're all bout to get a stern letter regarding noise levels from the body corporate :~\
